Product Overview

Sirmar Manufacture an extensive range of both Modern and WWII vessels, for which we provide a one-piece glass fibre hull, which comes complete with all shaft, rudder and bilge keel positions marked on them. The vast majority of our models are suitable for R/C.

The Drawings that are supplied by us, are full-scale size, and are drawn to a very high standard by Gerry Hitch of "Jecobin" for the Modern vessels, and Bob Barnes for the WWII warships.

To complement the hulls and drawings, we offer a range of fittings packs, which contain most of fittings required. These fittings are manufactured to a very high standard, from polyurethane resin and (or) white metal, and contain assembly instructions where applicable. The running gear sets which are listed along with the fittings packs contain, Rudder(s) Prop(s) Shafts(s) and if required "A" frames of the correct pattern. The fittings packs can be purchased individually, or as a complete fittings pack set.

We do NOT manufacture Kits. All the models shown on these pages are Semi-Kits, and are intended for the experienced model maker

What you get:

What you don't get:

Materials for superstructure, decks, or internal woodwork
Motors, motor mountings or couplings
Step by step written or illustrated constructional instructions, or material requirements list.

The materials that are required to complete a model of this type are varied, as are the motor, battery, and radio gear combinations, and although we are able to give advise, the final choice will have to be reliant on your own modelling experience, and preferences. Therefore we are unable to accurately assess the total costs involved.

If you have any doubt about you ability to construct a complex model of this type, then we would suggest that you start by purchasing a plans set.
